Here is another exercise that seems simple but can be detrimental. Shoulder shrugs are not good for, you guessed it, the shoulders. Along with potential shoulder injury, shoulder shrugs work out the trapezious muscle (back of the neck). If done too much youll look like a no neck gorilla. If you work in an office sitting at a computer all day, surprisingly your trapezious really dont need much attention. An alternative to shoulder shrugs are lateral dumbbell raises and farmers walk.
